Infrastructure Parameters Affecting Capacity of Railways in Ten-T

Abstract: Abstract. The article presents possible solutions of the issue of the lost capacity on a double-track line. It is shown a solution where an inserted train on the double-track line use the lost capacity of the opposite line track using active overtaking. The feasibility of such a solution is discussed and the length of sections suitable for active overtaking is calculated.
