Infrared absorption suppressed terahertz metamaterial absorber

Abstract: Terahertz metamaterial absorber (TMA) has a wide range of practical values, but it is easily disturbed by infrared radiation in real applications. We present a design of a TMA with the ability of infrared absorption suppression, which uses the slit pattern on the metal surface to control the absorption spectrum. The experimental results show that the designed and processed TMA produces an absorption peak of more than 80% at the resonant frequency of 1.33THz and achieves less than 3% absorption in infrared band… Show more
