Informing Food Security and Nutrition Strategies in Sub‐Saharan African Countries: An Overview and Empirical Analysis

Abstract: This article presents a systematic review of the literature on policy options to improve food security and nutrition in developing countries, and an empirical analysis of the impact of smallholder market participation on food security and nutrition in Ghana. The review focuses on the impacts of policy strategies such as structural changes in relative prices, agricultural infrastructure, economic incentives, and agricultural technologies.
