Abstract:The interrelations of information technology (IT) and mobility have long been of interest to geographers. A long‐standing focus on the extent to which IT use can substitute for the physical movement of people, goods, and information has been complemented by many other lines of inquiry. These concentrate on people's everyday life and transportation and on changes in mobility systems, often considering the consequences for sociospatial inequalities and broader spatial formations.
