Information System Projects in Africa: Reflections on Learning and Systemic Devices

Abstract: The paper examines some experiences in information technology (IT) projects in Africa. It reviews the twin contexts which IT projects in Africa bring together -the experience of IT projects and the experience of projects in developing countries. It is shown that both have erratic track records but that valuable learning is contained from the experiences of each.
