Purpose: The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the development of large international companies and migration. An equally important task is to improve the direction of financial and economic cooperation between exporting countries and countries receiving migrants. Theoretical framework: The process of globalization caused by the accelerated development of production and technology is chaotic. At the same time, migration processes can create economic conditions aimed at improving socioeconomic, cultural, and political development in countries. Methodology: The study uses general scientific and special research methods, namely the method of dialectical cognition, the method of induction and deduction, the method of scientific abstraction, the method of system analysis, the index system and evaluation method, the causal method, and the comparative method. Findings: The article proves that the financial and economic interests of countries should be taken into account when cooperating with migration and other international policies. This direction of development is ensured by increasing the efficiency of the management of large international companies and improving the mechanisms of financing international migration processes. At present, the efficiency of management of large international companies is enhanced by creating a trilateral mutually beneficial situation when the immigration process has a positive impact on the country of origin, the country of destination, and the migrant. Practical & Social implications: The positive impact of immigration is that immigrants use their rights in the host country to find work, develop skills and earn money, some of which they can transfer to their country of origin. The advantage of the destination country is that it can attract workers from unpopular countries who find jobs there. Originality: The article proves that the positive effect is ensured by an increase in remittances and is seen as a new source of additional financing for economic development. Through remittances, migrants make a direct contribution to reducing poverty in their country of origin. In addition, the positive impact is also reflected in social communication, which is manifested in the flow of information, ideas, values.

Building an effective personnel risks management system of the organization

The object of this study is a technique to reduce the personnel risks of an organization operating in a developing country under difficult conditions in order to improve the efficiency of staff. The form of ownership of the organization is state-owned, the number of employees is 120 people. The duration of the period for assessing the effectiveness of staff work and monitoring the impact of personnel risks on the organization is 4 weeks. It has been established that the organization has an integrated personnel risk management system. It enables fulfilling an average of 74 % of tasks and is not effective. Given this, an integrated personnel risk management system was developed based on the European approach. For this purpose, using technology transfer, information was obtained on the functioning of an effective personnel risk management system. After that, it was improved taking into consideration the peculiarities of the functioning of the organization when performing tasks. In addition, hard- and soft-skills of personnel were taken into consideration, thus, the complex effect of factors increasing the organization's resilience to personnel risks was taken into account. To implement the personnel risk management system in the organization's activities, a road-map was developed. Duration of implementation – 3 weeks. To assess the effectiveness of an integrated system for combating personnel risks, a comparative method was used for the qualitative and quantitative effectiveness of the tasks of 4 teams of the organization. Two of them worked according to the standard personnel risk management system, and 2 – according to the implemented one. The comparison was performed with the available data on the effectiveness of identical tasks for a period of 4 weeks. It has been established that the implemented comprehensive risk management system is effective, as it provides 100 % fulfillment of tasks under difficult conditions. The developed system can be used to improve the effectiveness of the tasks set for organizations in developing countries.

CO2 Emissions and Macroeconomic Indicators: Analysis of the Most Polluted Regions in the World

There is no sector of the economy that is not dependent on the state of development of the energy sector. This sector produces a significant share of global CO2 emissions. Harmful CO2 emissions and greenhouse gas emissions accelerate global warming. Therefore, more and more countries are adopting a strategy for the transition to carbon-neutral energy. However, energy independence and economic competitiveness are closely linked. One cannot analyze them separately. Given these facts, we focused on conducting an econometric study of the impact of key macroeconomic indicators on the level of СО2 emissions into the air in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region as the regions with the largest СО2 emissions. The modeling was carried out using the method of a correlation–regression analysis with the subsequent construction of econometric models. The quality of the built econometric models was checked using the coefficient of determination and Fisher’s criterion. The sample of statistics was formed from all the available values of the World Bank’s annual indicators for the period 1970–2020. The findings achieved showed that: (i) The results of our study confirmed the dependence of СО2 emissions on macroeconomic factors such as GDP, exports and imports, the rate of inflation, and unemployment. It allows the governments of many countries to use research findings to diagnose, monitor, and forecast macroeconomic outcomes to reduce or maintain allowable СО2 emissions. (ii) Identifying and assessing economic losses from environmental pollution by СО2 emissions using econometric models will allow to ensure effective public environmental and economic policies aimed at reducing harmful СО2 emissions into the air. It may be regarded as the practical importance of our study.
