Influenza A (H1N1) virus induced long‐term remission in a refractory acute myeloid leukaemia

Abstract: You et al. present an extraordinary case of a refractory acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) patient who achieved long‐term complete remission after infection with Influenza A. Using mouse models, the researchers examined the underlying immunological mechanisms and discovered a decrease in leukaemia proliferation and improved survival in Influenza‐A virus‐infected mice.
