Influência Da Localização Do Núcleo Rígido De Edificios De Múltiplos Pavimentos De Concreto Armado Na Estabilidade Global Das Estruturas / Influence of the Location of the Hard Core of Buildings of Multiple Armed Concrete Floors on the Global Stability of Structures

Abstract

The analysis of the overall stability of the structures is highly important in the field of civil construction, since the trend towards the construction of taller and more slender buildings has only increased in the country. This work portrays a study on global stability, carried out in a building of multiple reinforced concrete floors considering the rigid core as a bracing system. To make the study feasible, three dimensions were made with different positions of the rigid core: centered on the building, eccentric on the largest side of the building and eccentric on the smallest side of the building. The analysis of global stability was performed using the γ_z coefficient, which also allowed to classify the structure as to the types of nodes. Analyzes were also carried out regarding the consumption of materials such as steel, concrete and shapes of the buildings studied. This research concluded that the rigid core located in the center of the building presented better results than the other locations with respect to global stability. The study of the material consumption carried out did not make it possible to determine precisely which project has the best cost benefit due to the alteration of the rigid core, which makes a more detailed study necessary.
