Abstract:Solidification behavior of SiCw/Al-18Si metal matrix composites (MMCs) was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in order to reveal the effects of strontium addition and whisker content.
