Influences of Oceanic Processes Between the Indian and Pacific Basins on the Eastward Propagation of MJO Events Crossing the Maritime Continent

Abstract: The Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) is the main mode of tropical atmospheric circulation anomalies with a 30-90 days period. MJO events are characterized by eastward propagation of deep atmospheric convection and large-scale precipitation anomalies, which are significant in the northern hemisphere winter.
