Abstract:An accurate understanding of the matrix-fracture mass transfer is fundamental to the modeling of fractured reservoirs. Nevertheless, the difficulty in an appropriate representation of this process comes from the fact that matrix and fracture interact in a particular manner depending on physical mechanisms as capillary imbibition. Capillary imbibition is considered through wettability in several mass transfer formulations (also called transfer functions) as the main mass driving force between matrix and fractur… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
