Influence of vibration on droplet dynamics in a three-dimensional porous medium

Abstract: In this study, the effects of vibration on droplet dynamics inside a three-dimensional (3D) porous medium are investigated with a focus on frequency, amplitude, and surface wettability. A lattice Boltzmann method based on the Allen–Cahn equation (A-C LBM) is used. The results show that the volume of the drained drop and drainage duration of the droplet are significantly affected by the contact angle.
