Natural fibre reinforcement is used in important sectors such as medical, aerospace, automobile, and many other fields. Many articles have reported that natural fibre has the potential to replace synthetic fibres. Natural fibre reinforcement has given good results as a brake friction material. It has already been proven that asbestos causes lung cancer and mesothelioma in brakes. Many people died from the effects of asbestos. According to the World Health Organization’s trending brake report, this material leads to serious health issues. This work is going on for the replacement of these materials. Mulberry fibre is a unique material, and PAN fibre is combined with mulberry fibre and used as a brake reinforcement material to replace Kevlar fibre. The brake pads were fabricated with the various wt% of mulberry fibres and PAN fibre [3–12%] with an equal ratio and aramid fibre [3–6%] in the hydraulic hind brake moulding machine. The mechanical, chemical, physical, tribological, and thermal properties were evaluated. MF-2 [6 wt%] mulberry-PAN-fibre-based brake pad composites have shown better results for ultimate shear strength and proof stress, tensile strength, compressive strength, and impact energy.

A foot bracket is a metal panel bracket used to mount and support the footrest in two-wheeler systems. It holds the footrest in place while rigidly supporting it. In working conditions, this element has often been observed to fail when specific load-fluctuation conditions are established at its rear end. Appropriate materials therefore need to be identified to overcome such a recurring failure. To address these issues, the present study has been implemented with the specific objective to determine the response of selected Al6061-T6 and Al7075-T6 Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites (HMMC). The results, obtained using the ANSYS Software, show that the selected composites can withstand 636,962 N/m² of maximum stress and 8.88 × 10 −6 m of minimum displacement. These results are also compared with relevant mathematical models and it is concluded that the identified material combination provides the required improvement of structural stability that can withstand the load fluctuation on the foot bracket.

Nickel-based super composites are widely applied in the industry. These alloys withstand high thermal debility conditions and give better strength to machine parts in aviation, biomechanical, marine, and vehicle commerce. Nickel-based alloys have high quality, corrosion resistance, and high heat refusal. Inconel 718 is one such composite extensively utilized in these loading circumstances because of chemical stability, mechanical friction, high thermal corrosion, and high stability. During the cutting procedure, these qualities will bring a lot of processing issues, for example, surface roughness, machining efficiency, and wear of tool. Plasma arc cutting (PAC) is an upsetting metal-cutting process to perform slicing of hard to cut materials even for complex profiles. The present work analyzes the impact of PAC process factors, for instance, gas pressure (GP), arc current (AC), cutting speed (CS), and stand-off distance (SOD) on assessing the kerf width (KW), kerf taper (KT), and heat-affected zone (HAZ) of Inconel 718 superalloy. This work deliberates about the cutting parameters required for the machining of Inconel 718 to provide least surface roughness and low instrument wear. The experiments conducted to validate the ingenuity of the process are in accordance with the optimal parameter settings necessary for machining purposes. The divergence from actuality has been extremely minimal with a relative error of 4.45% for kerf width and 4.36% for the extent of heat-affected zone postmachining.
