Influence of the Toroidal Tool Kinematics on Residual Stress-Strain State of the Surface Layer of Machine Parts

Abstract: The article considers an approach to increasing compressive residual stresses during surface plastic deforming. The technical idea is based on the consideration of the kinematics of the working tool. A new hardening process based on the circular oscillation of the working tool is proposed.
