This study reports the influence of tie reinforcement on the load‐bearing capacity of a flat plate slab in a failure situation due to the removal of an edge column. The results are based on numerical model analysis, experimental investigations, and analytical estimation. A numerical model was developed using the ATENA FEM program and validated based on the test results of the materials used. Experimental studies on the edge column removal were carried out for three models of 16 field flat plate slabs with varying degrees of tie reinforcement. Furthermore, the columns removed in Models M1 and M2 were near the corner edge columns, whereas in Model M3, they were the middle edge columns. The behavior of a reinforced concrete flat plate subjected to large deflections was estimated analytically based on the current literature and compared with the results obtained from numerical analyses and experimental investigations. During the experimental investigations, many traditional and modern techniques were used to measure the strains and displacements of reinforcing steel and concrete.

Sàn phẳng bê tông cốt thép (BTCT) được dùng phổ biến cho các công trình dân dụng. Tuy nhiên, nhược điểm của loại kết cấu này là sức kháng chọc thủng tại đầu cột thấp, dẫn đến nguy cơ sụp đổ một phần hay toàn bộ công trình. Nghiên cứu ứng xử cận sụp đổ và sụp đổ kết cấu BTCT là một vấn đề phức tạp do sự tham dự của hai yếu tố là phi tuyến hình học và phi tuyến của vật liệu bê tông cốt thép. Bài báo trình bày một mô phỏng ứng xử sụp đổ của kết cấu sàn phẳng có mũ cột sau khi một cột biên bị phá hoại. Kỹ thuật mô phỏng được thực hiện bằng phần mềm LS-DYNA và được kiểm chứng với các kết quả thí nghiệm sụp đổ của hai mẫu sàn phẳng. Dựa trên mô phỏng này, các khảo sát phần tử hữu hạn đã được thực hiện nhằm xác định ảnh hưởng của một số tham số đối với sức kháng sụp đổ của sàn phẳng có mũ cột, như là (i) hàm lượng cốt thép trong mũ cột, (ii) cường độ chịu nén của bê tông, và (iii) vị trí mất cột. Những kết quả thu được chỉ ra rằng hàm lượng cốt thép trong mũ cột ảnh hưởng không đáng kể, trong khi đó khả năng chịu lực có thể tăng khoảng 13-14% khi tăng cường độ chịu nén của bê tông từ 18 đến 30 MPa. Trong số các kịch bản mất cột chịu lực, thì vị trí mất cột trong cận góc là nguy hiểm nhất đối với sức kháng sụp đổ của sàn phẳng có mũ cột.
