Influence of the Rotor Geometry on Efficiency and Torque Ripple of Switched Reluctance Motor Controlled by Optimized Torque Sharing Functions

Abstract: Torque sharing function (TSF)-based switched reluctance motor (SRM) control is an effective approach to minimize torque ripple and maximize efficiency. This study investigated the influence of the rotor geometry to overcome the inherent torque and current tracking error of used TSFs.
