“…A recent simulation, 9 based on the models proposed by Kolar-Anic and Schmitz with co-workers, 10,11 complemented by the physical process of iodine interphase transport shows very good semiquantitative agreement with experiments. Buchholtz and Broecker 12 could show that in their CSTR experiments, when there was no gas phase above the solution, no oscillations could be observed in the BL system at a high flow rate.…”

“…The first model where a direct autocatalytic step was successfully substituted by a realistic autocatalytic loop was proposed in 1987 by Guy Schmitz who was working on the modelling of the Bray-Liebhafsky oscillatory reaction (Schmitz 1987). Building on the original model proposed by Schmitz, a more powerful variant of the model was developed (Kolar- Anić et al 1992;Kolar-Anić et al 1995a) that could simulate complex dynamical structures such as mixed-mode oscillations, period doubling and deterministic chaos (Kolar- Anić et al 2004a;Kolar-Anić et al 2004b;Ivanović et al 2008;Ivanović et al 2009;Kolar-Anić et al 2010;Ivanović et al 2011;Čupić et al 2013). Thus, the connection between experimental and theoretical investigations was established and proved by numerical investigations.…”

“…In order to propose the nature of the interaction of UA with BL matrix, a well known and thoroughly tested 31,43 kinetic scheme was used that has already been used as a Maximum ratio tested; b in square brackets is tolerable ratio obtained by using a method employing the experimental procedure B. 103.6 ± 1.7 102.1 ± 0.9 a Mean value of six determinations (n = 5); b performed as accurate addition of 1.0 × 10 -4 mol L -1 uric acid to the real samples.…”
