Influence of Temperature on the Plastic Deformation Behavior of Bismuth Single Crystals in Principal axis

Abstract: Plastic deformation behavior of bismuth single crystals have been investigated by tensile tests in principal axis at 298K and 423K, and influence of temperature on the plastic deformation behavior has been discussed. A combined deformation mechanism of twinning and slip was observed at 298K in most of axes tested, and elongation was given by mainly the slip inside the twin crystals.
