“…On the other side, the value of K a increases with increase in the value of preforms IRD. The same kind of results is obtained by the previous researchers [21,22,29]. Also, the K a and n a values increases with increase in the amount of Ti contents in the composite due to the more number of inherent porosity present in the preforms.…”

“…Table 1 shows the initial preforms RD for various Al-Ti composites at different compaction pressures. It is observed from Table 1 that the preforms RD increases with the increase in the compaction pressures irrespective of the compositions of Ti particles in the Al and the RD of the sintered Al-Ti components decreases with the increase in the percentages of Ti contents in the Al due to the effect of porosity [21,22]. The maximum values of RD for various Al-Ti preforms at various compaction pressures after deformation are shown in Table 2, and it is noticed that the values of the final RD increases with the increase in the compaction pressures and the values of the final RD decreases with the increase in the percentages of Ti contents in the Al matrix due to the variation in porosity [21,22].…”

“…It has been identified that significant number of engineering components and parts were made from the shaped and sintered metal powders. This processing technique has become more important as it provides a lot of advantages than conventional fabrication techniques such as casting, forging, machining, etc [5]. This technique is better for the production of mechanical components with high precision compared to other production technologies [6].…”
