“…The adsorption of molecules into alumina from aqueous and nonaqueous solutions is of significant biological and environmental value. Alumina is not a monotropic form; it is an oxide mixture that contains alkali or alkaline earth atoms. Alumina is a promising adsorbent that could be utilized for carbon nanotube surface modifications. The preparation conditions, such as heating and/or the presence of surfactant drying materials, highly influence their structure, surface properties, and performance. In addition, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is reported to enhance the adsorption potential of heavy metal species and dyes when applied to modify adsorbents such as chitosan, carbon materials, magnetic core–shell composites, and/or poly(vinyl) chloride. Most of reported methods for alumina fabrication use a high thermal processing condition between 600 and 1000 °C. The low temperature for alumina processing and modification needs more exploration to assess the formed structure and the real field applicability.…”

“…The ability of petroleum contaminants to separate from the particle surface into the free state was related to the oilwater interfacial tension, and the reduction in interfacial tension usually involves the addition of surfactants, [35][36][37] heating, 38,39 the addition of solvents, 40 and the generation of gas bubbles. 41,42 In this study, petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants were removed from sandy soil using the NBs water flushing technology, and the effect of petroleum hydrocarbon removal was reflected by detecting the interfacial tension of oil and water under different flushing conditions.…”

“…Typically, all experiment processes create some uncertainty due to various reasons such as zero-stability, calibration, observation, the test environment, and sensor selection [36]. The overall uncertainty in this experiment can be derived from the following equation [37,38]. Figure 5 shows the experimental setup of the cold energy recovery and cold water supply system to the water tank used in this study.…”
