Abstract:Based on the s -d model using a Green's function technique it is shown that the influence of the substrate induces strong changing of various statical and dynamical properties due to different exchange interactions between the ferromagnetic thin film and the substrate. The increase of the phase transition temperature and the magnetization is attributed to the tensile stress effect induced by the substrate whereas the reverse is true for the compressive stress effect. The damping in thin films is greater compar… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
