Influence of slurry delivery rate and height from cooling slope outlet on solidification and structural behaviors of molded AZ91 magnesium alloy

Abstract: AZ91 magnesium alloy melt experiences partial solidification while flowing on cooling slope with counter flowing water channel underside. It results in continuous production of semisolid slurry available at cooling slope outlet.
