Influence of size disorder parameter on the thermophysical properties of rare‐earth‐zirconate medium‐entropy ceramics

Abstract: Inspired by the concept of entropy stabilization, a series of rare-earth-zirconate medium-entropy ceramics were designed. The influence of size disorder parameter on the mechanical and thermophysical properties of rare-earth-zirconate medium-entropy ceramics was investigated. The results show that the prepared rare-earth-zirconate medium-entropy ceramics exhibit single pyrochlore structure, and the lattice constant is linearly related to the average doped rare-earth ionic radius. The scanning electron microsco… Show more

“…13 (a). The overall trend of thermal conductivity is to increase with the rise of temperature, exhibiting a glass-like thermal conductivity [46]. Typically speaking, the thermal conductivity of a non-metallic ceramic usually decreases with the increase of temperature and it tends to stable at extremely high temperatures due to phonon scattering.…”

“…The oxygen vacancies vitally influence the generation of electrons and holes. Among all the rare-earth ions, the phosphors doped with Pr ions have a wide emission spectrum, from the ultraviolet (UV) to the mid-infrared (MIR) region, under UV and blue light excitation. Hence, in the present study, Pr 3+ -doped SrCeO 3 perovskites were synthesized and employed as a spectral converter layer between the electron transport layer TiO 2 and the (CH 3 NH 3 ) 2 CuBr 4 active layer in hybrid PSCs.…”

“…Tunable blue-yellow and orange-red emissions from SrCeO 3 doped with samarium and dysprosium have been reported. 26 In the literature synthesis of SrCeO 3 by different methods such as co-precipitation, 27 spray pyrolysis, 28 spin coating, 29 combustion synthesis, 30 solid-state reaction, 31 sol-gel, 32 have been reported. Researchers have used fuels such as citric acid, urea, glycine, and others for the synthesis of SrCeO 3 through the combustion method.…”
