The effect of various production conditions on the bacteriological quality of farm bulk tank milk has been reviewed by Thomas, Druce & Jones (1971). In the present article the results of investigations and surveys of the bacterial content and microflora of pipeline milking plants and farm bulk milk tanks on -300 farms in Wales during a 10 year period are presented, and discussed in relation to the results of similar investigations by other workers which are reviewed in some detail.…”
