Influence of post haemodialysis sampling on Kt/V result

Abstract: The recommended Kt/V is 1.2. Unfortunately there is no written policy for nurses on the procedure for taking blood urea nitrogen samples post haemodialysis. The aim of this study was to establish the Kt/V variability of haemodialysis patients depending on the method of collection of post-haemodialysis blood urea nitrogen.
