Abstract

Influence of pit removal algorithms on surface runoff simulationThe digital terrain model (DTM) with removed pits is a precondition for hydrologic analysis. Two pit removal methods, the carving method and the filling method, are investigated in the paper for three different geomorphometric areas. The input data are digital elevation models (DEM) created by interpolation from photogrammetric surveying in the spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. A recommendation for the use of a more acceptable DEM creation method without pits, involving minimum geomorphometric changes, is given based on geomorphometric and statistical analyses. The importance of selecting a correct algorithm is proven. Utjecaj algoritama za uklanjanje depresija na simulaciju površinskog otjecanja Preduvjet za hidrološke analize je digitalni model reljefa (DMR) s uklonjenim depresijama. U radu su istražena su dva algoritma za uklanjanje depresija, metoda prokopavanja i metoda popunjavanja na tri geomorfometrijski različita područja. Ulazni podaci su digitalni modeli visina (DMV) nastali interpolacijom iz podataka fotogrametrijske izmjere u prostornoj rezoluciji 5 x 5 metara. Na osnovi geomorfometrijskih i statističkih analiza dana je preporuka za uporabu prihvatljivije metode kreiranja DMV-a bez depresija uz minimalne geomorfometrijske promjene, čime je dokazana važnost odabira ispravnog algoritma.
