“…1 Introduction It is known that even the purest alkali-halide crystals in addition to their intrinsic Schottky defects contain, as a rule, the hydroxyl impurity defects .In crystals grown in the air and not subjected to the special purification, the concentration of the mentioned impurity is of the order of 10 ) is determined by infrared absorption bands in the range of 3700-3400 cm -1 , which are caused by stretching O−H vibrations of impurity ions [1,2].
