“…The insignificant change in the resistivity of x = 0.09 samples might be due to the excess Dy forming the additional orthoferrites phase, which restricts the hopping mechanism. The increase in the resistivity parameter of ferrites with rare Earth substitution is observed by other researchers 45,46 for a small addition of substitution.…”

“…No impurity peaks were observed. The XRD result confirms the synthesis of Cu 2+ ions substituted magnesium ferrites with phase purity and small crystallite size [16]. The lattice constants of the synthesized samples were calculated by using the equation below (equation ( 1)) and the values of lattice constant(a) for the synthesized ferrite samples are reported in Table 1 below.…”

“…The value of σ S decreases with an increase in the doping of nickel ion ( x = 0.0 to x = 1.0) from 67.69 to 41.07 emu/g due to the high magnetic moment (5 μB) of cobalt ferrite replaced by the lower magnetic moment (4 μB) of nickel ferrite. Kumar et al (2022) observed that the saturation magnetization of cobalt‐nickel ferrite was 51.22 emu/g which further increases to 56.33 emu/g with Nd 3+ ions doping, whereas the dc resistivity further increased to 0.62 eV 59 . They stated that at 50% concentration of Ni and Co, the ions occupy the octahedral position which results in the improved saturation magnetization value.…”

The value of coercivity decreases with the nickel doping from 2.16 to 0.48 kOe as nickel has low magneto crystalline anisotropy.…”
