Influence of Moisture Regime on Optimum Nitrogen Level and Plant Population for Corn: A Game Theoretic Analysis

Abstract: Synopsis The results of an experiment giving the effect on corn yield of nitrogen application, plant population, and available soil moisture during a critical 17‐day period are used to construct yields for each of 58 seasons. These yields are used to estimate payoff matrices which, in turn, form the basis for obtaining the optimum nitrogen level‐plant population combinations specified by each of four game theory models.
