Influence of Mental Practice on Development of Voluntary Control of a Novel Motor Acquisition Task

Abstract: The purpose of this investigation was to assess whether mental practice facilitates the development of voluntary control over the recruitment of the abductor hallucis muscle to produce isolated big toe abduction. A sample of convenience of 15 women and 20 men with a mean age of 28.8 yr.
