In this study, a hybrid alkali-activated groundgranulated cement consisting of 70% blast furnace slag (GGBFS) and 30% Portland cement (PC) activated with sodium sulfate was studied. Results were compared with those of a blended system without an activator. The addition of the activator significantly increased the kinetics and degree of reaction of these cements, particularly at early curing ages (2 days), without leading to significant changes in the phase assemblage. The main reaction product formed was an aluminum-substituted calcium silicate hydrate (C-A-S-H) type gel, with a Ca/Si ratio comparable to that of the activator-free blended cement; however, in the presence of the activator, sorption of sulfur was observed in the C-A-S-H phase. The formation of secondary phases including ettringite and Ca-or Mg-rich layered double hydroxides was also identified in these cements depending on the curing age and activation addition. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of sodium sulfate in accelerating the phase assemblage evolution in high-GGBFS-content PCblended cements without leading to significant changes in the reaction products formed, particularly at advanced curing ages. This represents a step forward in the development of cements with a reduced clinker factor.

With the large-scale construction of infrastructure such as high-speed railways and the rapid development of building industrialization and prefabricated buildings, the precast concrete industry has ushered in vigorous vitality. However, there are many tricky problems such as high-energy consumption and unstable long-term performance in the existing production technology of steam-cured concrete. Based on the current research on concrete early strength technology, this paper focuses on the early strength performance and greenness evaluation of the reference cement–sulfoaluminate cement (C–SAC) system. The results confirm that when the 30% mineral admixture—60% C–10% SAC system is mixed with the composite early strength agent, the 1 day strength of mortar can reach 38.0 MPa under the condition of 45°C steam curing. The water absorption is 1.1% after 28 days. The carbon emission of the system (32.1%) is lower than that of the reference cement, and the production energy consumption and the initial resource energy are reduced by 14.4% and 8.2%, respectively. This paper provides a promising strategy for the development of low-carbon, and early strength concrete and ultimately provides technical support for the realization of high-quality and green production of precast concrete components.

The increasing accumulation of rock waste obtained due to ore processing and its environmental impacts, such as acid mine drainage and elevated concentrations of heavy metals in soils, necessitates the transformation of mining technologies based on the concept of circular waste management. The research is aimed at improving the parameters of the mechanical activation effect produced on technogenic georesources, as well as at expanding the application scope of disintegrators in the field of using the partial backfill of the mined-out space when developing stratified deposits. In this regard, the research purpose was to substantiate the parameters of extracting metals from enrichment tailings using their mechanochemical activation to ensure cyclic waste management. The research involved the application of three-dimensional interpolation methods used for processing the data and the graphical representation. As a result, the following was found to be characteristic of the waste of the Sadonsky mine management. The degree of extracting zinc from pre-activated tailings increases logarithmically when the H2SO4 concentration and the NaCl proportion decrease 3.5 times. The degree of extracting lead from the activated tailings increases according to the Fourier law when decreasing the NaCl mass concentration, and an optimal range of the H2SO4 (0.38–0.51%) proportion decreases six times. One of the key results of the research is the justification of expanding the scope of applying disintegrators in the case of a directed activation influence exerted on the components of the stowing strips. The obtained results expand the understanding of the mechanism of the influence of the mechanochemical activation of dry tailings on the reactivity unevenness when extracting several metals from them.
