“…It has been acknowledged from literatures [40] that the reduction reaction proceeds via formation of nitrophenolate ion as an intermediate in NPs or via hydroxylamine in 4-NA. The order of reactivity of nitro-aromatics can be explained on the basis of two factors namely the formation of intermediates and their reactivity.…”

“…Different processes such as hydrothermal [20], solvothermal [21], thermal decomposition [22], solid-state reaction [23], reverse micelle [24], micro-emulsion [25], sonochemical [26,27], spray pyrolysis [28], combustion [29], mechanochemical [30], citrate precursor [31], electrodeposition [32] and sol-gel [33,34] methods have been used to synthesize nanocrystalline ZnFe 2 O 4 . However, these techniques are difficult to develop in large-scale industrial applications because they are expensive, complicated, require sophisticated apparatus, high reaction temperatures, long production time, toxic reagents and producing byproducts which are harmful to the environment.…”

“…The iron replacement in the B-sublattice by lanthanum, with larger radius, results in expansion of unit cell. 13 The crystallite size values variation can be attributed to the strain in the lattice, as a result of lanthanum presence in B-sublattice, 14,15 and to the compression by the secondary phase, 12 which affect the growth of a grains. The presented results also show the theoretical density increase, which may be caused by a non-stoichiometric excess Ni 2+ -Zn 2+ in compound, associated with a lack of iron in the system 16 and by a sintering mechanisms activated by lanthanum ions.…”
