Influence of growth regulators on the sunflower growth and development in the Northern Steppe of Ukraine

Abstract: Topicality. In addition to mineral and organic fertilizers, microfertilizers and plant growth regulators should be used more widely to eliminate negative factors (excessive man-made load, deterioration of water, nutrient regimes and soil humus condition) and to improve the sunflower nutrition system. Issues. Growth regulators intensify the development of the leaf surface, activate the basic life functions of sunflower plants: membrane processes, cell division, respiration and nutrition, enzyme systems activity… Show more

“…Without proper and timely application of nutrients, higholeic sunflower will grow slowly, and its seeds will be small. In addition, an insufficient amount of nutrients in the soil can lead to a decrease in the growth and development of sunflower plants, and the plant itself can be affected by pests and diseases (Tsyliuryk et al, 2021).…”

“…The research results are echoed in the scientific works of O. Tsyliuryk et al (2021) who state that the fertilization system can affect the mass of 1000 higholeic sunflower seeds. The authors established that the application of phosphorus fertilizers can improve the formation and development of the plant's root system and provide energy for its growth, which in turn affects the mass of seeds.…”

“…на дослідному полі Навчально-наукового центру Дніпровського державного аграрноекономічного університету встановлено, що утворення максимальної площі листкової поверхні соняшнику спостерігали за підживлення посівів стимулятором Церон (0,5 л/га) до 70,9-78,1 тис. м 2 /га, або на 5,5-10,2 % більше проти контролю [25].…”
