Influence of Graphene Oxide Surface on the Synthesis and Structure of BiOxFy at Ambient Conditions

Abstract: Due to its rich functional groups and large specific surface area, graphene oxide (GO) will inevitably interact with the surrounding medium in practical applications. Although it has been found that this surface interaction of GO affects the crystallization process, it is still unclear whether it affects chemical reactions and reaction kinetics. Here, by studying the synthesis of BiOxFy crystals on the surface of GO under environmental conditions, it is shown that the surface interaction of GO affects the reac… Show more

“…The XRD results of the resulting C-An-TiO 2 -X samples, obtained after 2 h calcination at 500 1C in argon, were quantitatively analysed with the aid of the Rietveld refinement method to determine the crystal unit cell sizes of their anatase phases. [42][43][44][45][46] Fig. 2e shows that the c-axis dimension of anatase crystal units of the C-An-TiO 2 -X samples noticeably decreases, with increasing CDC values of their C-Am-TiO 2 -X precursors, and yet the dimensions of the a-axis and b-axis remain hardly changed (Table S2, ESI †).…”
