Abstract:The influence of film morphology on the broadening of the time-of-flight transient photo-current pulse is investigated using Monte Carlo simulation. Simulation of the time-of-flight transient photo-current pulse shape is carried out for homogeneous and inhomogeneous organic thin films by varying the overall energetic disorder. In homogeneous system, the value of the tail broadening parameter (W) of the photocurrent pulse is found to decrease upon decreasing the energetic disorder, which can be attributed to th… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
