Influence of feeding types of cows on the content of heavy metals in milk

Abstract: Around the industrial cities, the difficult environmental situation is due to the release of pollutants in the atmosphere that contain heavy metals, especially those that are dangerous to the environment, such as cadmium and lead. The increase in the accumulation of pollutant in soils of agricultural land also leads to the use of agrochemicals – pesticides and mineral fertilizers. Under such environmental conditions, it is necessary not only to grow crop production, but also to produce livestock products – mil… Show more

“…Heavy metals are dangerous pollutants that through toxic stress cause various disturbances in the functional state of animals and humans. Getting into the body in small doses, for a long time, and accumulating in various organs and tissues, heavy metals can cause toxicosis, accompanied by disturbances of biochemical processes, structure and function of cells, including the permeability to chemical components of the internal environment (Velychko, 2007;Marenkov et al, 2018;Slivinska et al, 2019;Mamenko & Portiannik, 2019;Gutyj et al, 2019). Some heavy metals, and combinations thereof, which act specifically as poisons of individual functional groups, have a polytropic effect, inhibiting various biologically important groups.…”

“…Так, коефіцієнт переходу Кадмію склав 0,24, а Свинцю -0,25. Згідно з результатами проведеної роботи найінтенсивніша міграція Pb за силосо-сінажно-коцентратного типу годівлі: коефіцієнт переходу становив 0,39, а за Cd -0,34 (Mamenko & Portiannik, 2019).…”

“…The intensification of conventional agriculture not only in Ukraine, but also in the countries of the European Union, the development of industry in large cities increase the anthropogenic burden on the environment (Bigalke et al, 2017). The entry of heavy metals into the soil, even in small concentrations, leads to their accumulation in feed in considerable quantities, feeding which to farm animals can lead to the production of livestock products with an increased content of dangerous pollutants, and therefore raw materials for food production (Mamenko & Portiannyk, 2019;Aloud et al, 2022).…”
