Abstract:The photoluminescence intensity of a light emitter embedded in an atom probe needle-shaped specimen varies with the morphological evolution of the latter during field evaporation. Light absorption and emission patterns within such an evolving system were calculated considering the increase in the reflectivity induced by the high electrostatic field present at the apex surface. A good agreement is obtained between the experimental and calculated photoluminescence intensity as a function of the evaporation progr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
