Abstract:Summary. A rise of DL-methionine in the diet given to DMBA-treated Sprague-Dawley rats had no effect on the induction and growth of mammary adenocarcinoma, but cancer cells were more highly differentiated in the methionine-treated group (grade I and II: 80% and 75% versus 58%).
