“…An analysis of the results verifies that small and well‐dispersed nanoparticles were formed near the initial Ag nanorod (eAP) or Ag irregular spheres (lAP) a few nanometers away from the initial Ag NPs. The HRTEM images in the insets of both figures demonstrate an interplanar distance of 0.23 nm for these particles, which can be associated with the (111) plane of cubic metallic Ag . Thus, the exposure of a secondary electron beam from TEM leads to the growth of metallic Ag from the initial particles obtained in the eAP and lAP samples.…”

“…The E gap of the Ag 3 PO 4 and NiO samples are in accordance with previous reports. 7,33,34,45,46 The band gap of the composites narrowed slightly as compared to that of Ag 3 PO 4 with enhanced light absorption. Among the composites, AgNi75 showed the lowest band gap (E gap = 1.7 eV), probably associated with the introduction of surface defects caused by the greater amount of NiO during the in situ precipitation of Ag 3 PO 4 , which can lead to a strong interaction between semiconductors, facilitating the formation of an interaction between the NiO and Ag 3 PO 4 phases.…”

“… 2 6 Since the discovery of the Ag 3 PO 4 semiconductor, many mechanisms such as cation/anion doping, composite construction, metal deposition, and immobilization with support materials have been studied to increase its stability and photocatalytic properties. 3 , 4 , 7 9 …”

“…The partial replacement of cations in the host matrix by copper ions resulted in solid solutions with interesting properties, mainly regarding the photocatalytic, magnetic, electrical, and optical properties . Moreover, the investigation of copper-doped silver tungstate was completely absent in the literature until now.…”
