Influence of corrosion preventive compounds on the friction force in aircraft lap joints

Abstract: Highlights Long service life of aircraft aggravates problems of metal fatigue and corrosion. Corrosion preventive compounds are used as a complementary method against corrosion. Preventive compounds change friction in riveted joints and affect fatigue life. The proposed method evaluates compounds influence on friction in the riveted joins.
