Influence of Bio-fertilizer and Organic Seed Treatment on Growth and Yield Attributing Traits of Mustard (Brassica nigra L.) Variety (Pusa -21)

Abstract: The Field experiment was conducted in a Randomized block Design (RBD) with three replications during Rabi, 2020-2021 at Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The genetically pure seeds of Mustard variety Pusa-21 were used for the study. The mustard seeds primed with botanicals and chemicals( Vermiwash, Panchagavya, Azatobactor, NaCl , KNO3, Neem leaf, Parthenium leaf and FYM) were subjected to  study in field experiment of growth and yield … Show more

“…significantly recorded the maximum of 14.70g of chickpea seeds per plant and minimum yield of 7.08 g was recorded by the untreated control (T0) respectively. Organic priming enhances the growth and yield of the pulses; which are highly sensitive to the salinity and alkalinity factors through timely supply of nutrients and proper hormonal balance [13].…”

“…It needs well drained sandy loam soil and has a low water requirement of (240-400 mm) which fits well in the rain-fed cropping system. Mustard contributes about 10% of the world oilseeds production, 5-7% of the global production of vegetable oil, and nearly 7% of protein meal Among the seven edible oilseeds cultivated in India, rapeseed-mustard contributes 28.6% in the total oil seeds products and rank second after groundout sharing 27.8% in the India's oilseed economy [14][15][16][17][18]. These crops also serve as raw material for various industrial products.…”
