Abstract: BACKGROUND: The measurement of maximal respiratory pressure (MRP) is a procedure widely used in clinical practice to evaluate respiratory muscle strength through the maximal inspiratory pressure (P Imax ) and maximal expiratory pressure (P Emax ).
