However, since the work of Houndonougbo (1989) on the influence of different concentrations of indole-3-acetic acid, naphthalene acetic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and kinetin on callogenesis and in vitro organogenesis of inter-node fragments of two sweet potatoes landraces, no work has been reported on the in vitro culture of sweet potato in Benin as part of the improvement of the seed system.
