Abstmct-llis paper deals with the H, DIA control system design attenuating initial-state uncertainties and its application to magnetic suspension systems. Here the H, DIA eonbol means B mixed Disturbance and an Initialstate uncertainty Attenuation(Dl.4) control for Linear timeinvariant systems in the infinite-horizon case. The H, DIA control problem supplies H, controls with good transients and assures H-contmls of mbustness against initial-state uncertainties. We derived a necessary and suffcient condition of the generalized H, DIA problem. In this paper, we apply this H, DIA appmch to magnetic suspension systems, and evaluate a mixed attenuation property of the pmposed approach via experiments. We investigate a role of the weighting ma& N for the initial state uncertainty in the control system design.
