Abstract: One of the manifestations of leishmaniases is eye injuries which main characteristics are the injury of the anterior chamber of the eye and the resistance to specific treatments. The retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells participate in pathogen-induced intraocular inflammatory processes.
