Inertial Forces Acting on a Propeller of Aircraft

Abstract: Background:Aerospace vehicles use propellers with the different design that possess gyroscopic properties. Recent investigations in the area of gyroscope theory have demonstrated that the gyroscope properties are based on the action of the centrifugal, common inertial, and Coriolis forces of the distributed mass elements of the spinning rotor, as well as the change in the angular momentum. Objective:The combined action of the interrelated inertial forces on the propellers presents the interests for the design o… Show more

“…The change in the speed vectors adverts to the accelerated motions of the rotating propeller mass that generate their inertial and gyroscopic forces f in and the inertial torque T in acting around axis oy that is expressed by the equation ( 1) [1]. Inertial and gyroscopic forces acting on propeller, torques and motions of the propeller have shown in the fig.…”

“…Therefore, researchers continue to find true mathematical models of gyroscopic effects [10][11][12][13][14]. New research in the area of the gyroscope theory gives the new mathematical models for inertial forces acting on a gyroscope [15,16]. These publications demonstrate that on rotating objects act the several inertial forces of their mass-elements that express the resistance and precession torques.…”
