“…Overweight and obesity are growing problems worldwide that affect children, adolescents and adults and are associated with decreased life expectancy (Engin 2017). In this sense, people with intellectual disabilities (IDs) have a higher prevalence of obesity and associated chronic diseases than people without disabilities (Kelly et al 2022).
