Abstract: Uterine infections affect the hypothalamus, hypophysis, ovaries and uterus. These infections inhibit the development of dominant follicles, prevent both the release of the luteinizing hormone (LH) and ovulation, reduce the size of the corpus luteum (CL), and decrease progesterone production.
