Industry report attempts to position nuclear power as environmentally friendly

Abstract: A new report by the Nuclear Energy Institute claims that nuclear power has played a significant and largely overlooked role in reducing acid rain in the United States, and that the industry should receive Clean Air Act financial credits for the avoided production of sulfur dioxide—an acid rain ingredient—as well as for other avoided pollutants.
