Industrial waste in concrete mixtures for construction of underground structures and minerals extraction

Abstract: An increase in population leads to an increase in the density of inhabitants in megacities and leads to an increase in consumed raw materials. The paper presents the description of the problems that arise for builders when building density increases and for producers of raw materials that arise when raw material is intensified. The analysis of the impact of construction and mining waste on the environment was carried out. Compositions of concrete mixes and methods of their preparation are offered to improve th… Show more

“…Some scholars have used fiber concrete to improve the properties of engineering materials [12,13]. Some scholars also use low-strength materials as backfill or high-strength materials in coal mines [14][15][16]. However, the study of the above materials is considered from the perspective of protection and reinforcement and has no reference significance for the stability analysis and instability mechanism under hydraulic and dynamic action.…”

“…Innovative approaches have been studied to decrease these wastes, or, as a clearer option, turn them into valuable reserves [ 2 , 3 ]. For several decades, various industry wastes have been extensively studied to replace aggregates or to enhance performance of construction materials [ 4 , 5 , 6 ].…”

“…An incorrectly selected development technology or incorrectly calculated parameters lead to the integrity and leakproofness violation of large aquifers. This is the reason for flooding of underground structures, a significant deterioration in mine safety and a change in the hydrogeological situation of the deposit (Kongar-Syuryun et al 2020).…”
